Matchy matchy

Everytime the twins wear matching outfits I can't resist taking a million pictures. Suddenly the babies don't look like newborns anymore! They are getting so big and are smiling and making lots of cooing noises are are just so much fun.

Valentines Day

Valentines day was a couple weeks ago. It was a little crazy but a success. It was really nice weather so we went on our first walk with the babies and then that night we had our traditional candlelight dinner.. over take out Cafe Rio :). As we sat down to eat the babies started crying and were hungry...45 minutes later I finally sat down to eat and then Asher had a poopy diaper blowout! Things with two babies are never predictable but we wouldn't change a thing!

We love Avery so very much and are so grateful she's part of our family!

Two month check up

The babies had their 2 month checkup last Friday. I tried getting a picture of them but neither were too excited about it! They had to get shots which was no fun. Good news of the day...Asher is now officially off oxygen! Yay! He's been doing well without oxygen during the day for a couple weeks and at night for about a week so the doctor said he was ready. We are so excited! No more cords for this little guy!

Poor Avery has had reflux issues. She's such a happy baby but when she isn't feeling good she will just cry and cry. It's really sad. The doctor upped her prescription for her reflux medicine so hopefully that will get her feeling better soon.

Both are doing great. Asher weighs 11 lbs in the 30th percentile and Avery 9 lbs in the 9th percentile. We sure love these little sweeties!

Ten year anniversary

Ten years ago today. TEN YEARS! It was a cold, sunny, beautiful, and perfect February day. Early this morning as Cory and I were each feeding a baby I asked if on our wedding day he ever would have thought ten years later we'd be sitting in our room totally exhausted feeding our newborn twin babies. Nope, I don't think that thought ever crossed either of our minds. But I love everything about where we are today! We have grown so much as individuals, a couple, and of course as a family. I'm so grateful everyday for Cory and our children. What wonderful blessings they are to us. I feel so lucky to call my sweet little family mine and I'm so grateful I get to spend forever with them. Happy Ten Year Annniversary to us!

Presidents Day

Yesterday was Presidents Day. Great grandma Jojo and Aunt Tami came by our house to visit Asher and

Then I had to get some pictures of the babies in these cute matching outfits. I posted these first two on Instagram and said "Feeling patriotic (and a little tired) on Presidents Day.

Some more...

This was later on when I was holding Avery just before bed and I had to take a picture with how pretty and peaceful she looked.

Smiley girl

This little princess is just so darling and sweet. She has become so animated and smiley lately. In the mornings especially she is so happy after she eats and makes the sweetest little cooing noises and gives big open mouthed smiles. I was trying to catch one here.

I love her big, beautiful eyes. She is just the cutest little thing! Cory still calls her our peanut. I think it's a cute little nickname for her. She is so much fun and we love her so much!

Big sister Halle

Halle woke up to the babies crying and wanted to help me with the 4:30 am feeding. She's been such a good helper with the babies and is so sweet with them. If one is crying she's so quick to get a binkie and put it in their mouth and talk nice and soft and sweet to them to settle them down. Or she's always willing to go rock their bassinet to settle them down or to grab a diaper or whatever else we might need for them. She's been so helpful and it's cute to see how much she loves them. What a good big sister!

Mommy's first time out with both babies

I realized I just now completed a sort of major "first" for me...my first outing by myself with both babies, and that's including carting around Asher's oxygen tank and monitor equipment. It was just to the doctor's office but hey I did it! The babies did good. It was my first time using the double stroller with both babies in it, I was excited to finally get to push both my little babes around in it :). AND it's a beautiful day outside. Feels so nice to be part of the world again!

Tiny bracelet

Luke made Avery a tiny loom bracelet. So cute! He just loves his baby sister. He's always saying how cute she is. The other day I reminded him that when we first found out that we were having twins he was hoping it would be two boys. I asked him if he's glad now that it was a girl and boy. With a big smile he said "yes!" It's cute to see how much these kids love their new baby brother and sister.
